Naviera de Galicia, S.A, was created in 1973 by Darío Amor Edreira, after the acquisition of Naviera Reddis, founded in 1957, and its change of denomination to its current name.
Since its beginnings, NAVIGASA has played an outstanding role in the maritime sector, consolidating itself as a reference in the national and international cabotage transport. In these more than 50 years of life, we have forged a solid reputation in the sector, thanks to our own fleet and to the management of international first class vessels.
From those first vessels of 300 tons of cargo capacity, we have been increasing the capacity of our vessels until reaching the current fleet, which has a cargo capacity of between 5.300 and 7,500 tons.
The largest vessels in our fleet also have two 60-ton cranes that combined have a cargo capacity of up to 120 tons, in addition to having "tweendeck" between decks that allow us to divide the hold into two heights. All these features allow us to enjoy great flexibility and adaptability to all types of cargoes and to operate even in ports that do not have loading or unloading facilities.
